John Bolton, former US ambassador to the UN, diplomat, lawyer and former Trump’s consultant, tonight did an interview with Senad Hadzifejzovic.
Hadzifejzovic: “How did Trump win this election?”
Bolton: “I think in a country where there was great concern about the state of the economy, especially inflation which was very high during the Biden administration, people wanted change when it comes to economic issues! Harris was the vice president and she implemented it! In general, USA is central-right country. Biden and Harris took the Democrats too far to the left!”
Hadzifejzovic: “Why do you claim that Trump’s new four years will be worse than the first four years?”
Bolton: “There are more threats and challenges in the world than there were during his first term! The big problem in his first term was the coronavirus pandemic, but it was not a matter of national security! Now we have a war in Ukraine, a war on several fronts in the Middle East, the threat of China! There is an increasing approach from Russia and China! We can expect more danger in the future! Trump didn’t show the ability to carry out threats effectively!”
Hadzifejzovic: “Trump promised to stop the wars in Ukraine and the Middle East immediately. I see that you doubt that he can do that…”
Bolton: “I think he wants to stop the wars as soon as possible because he doesn’t want to deal with it! If the wars end by the 20th of January, he doesn’t care under what conditions they end and which side does better! I think this is all too complicated to be able to end so quickly! In the Middle East, something dramatic could happen between Israel and Iran before January 20! I think Trump needs to deal with these conflicts! He didn’t say what he would do! He said that he would solve war in Ukraine in 24 hours, that he would talk to Putin… That’s easy to say, but not easy to do!”
Hadzifejzovic: “Is it possible for USA to give up on Bosnia and Herzegovina?”
Bolton: “I don’t see that could happen. I don’t know who the Trump’s consultants are, but I think that Trump didn’t spend too much time on the Balkans in order to form an opinion. Dissolving of Yugoslavia is not finished yet! The main concern is Trump’s possible friendly approach to Russia but I don’t think that we could witness change of the politics toward Balkans.”
“I am following very closely what Trump is saying and I see no indication that he is focusing on this region! That may be the best thing to expect in the next four years! It may be even more stable!”, said John Bolton, former Trump’s consultant for FACE TV.
